Add an Underline to Text

The Underline Text Tool lets you add real underlines to your text using special Unicode characters. Instead of relying on HTML or styling tags, it inserts a combining underline mark below each visible character. This makes your message pop even in plain-text formats like chat apps or code comments. Just paste your text or import a file, and watch the transformation happen live.

What Underline Text Tool can do:

Underline Text Tool takes your input and applies the Unicode underline combining character (U+0332) to each non-space character. The result is a line of fully underlined text that preserves spacing, supports multi-line formatting, and can be copied into most apps that support Unicode rendering. It’s ideal for emphasis in plain-text formats where bold or italic just won’t do.

Example:

Input:

Underline each line of this text.

Output:

U̲n̲d̲e̲r̲l̲i̲n̲e̲ ̲e̲a̲c̲h̲ ̲l̲i̲n̲e̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲t̲h̲i̲s̲ ̲t̲e̲x̲t̲.̲

Common Use Cases:

This is especially useful for stylized social media posts, markdown-limited environments, plain-text banners, or just for fun. It helps you make your message stand out without relying on HTML or rich formatting. Use it anywhere Unicode is supported.

Useful Tools & Suggestions:

If you’re underlining for emphasis, Write Text in Bold can help highlight key terms even more great combo for drawing attention. And if you’re formatting multiple sections, Center Text keeps everything lined up and balanced so the styling doesn’t feel chaotic.
