Create a Word Matrix

The Create a Word Matrix Tool transforms input text into a structured 2D matrix layout. Words are arranged into a grid that fills either by row or by column. You can control the grid size, strip punctuation, convert to lowercase, and choose whether to pad the grid to keep the layout consistent.

How to Use:

  1. Paste your text into the input area or import a .txt file.
  2. Select how the matrix fills:
    • Fill by Row: left to right, then top to bottom
    • Fill by Column: top to bottom, then left to right
  3. Adjust the Grid Width (columns) and Grid Height (rows).
  4. Use toggle switches to:
    • Ignore punctuation
    • Convert all words to lowercase
    • Pad empty matrix cells
  5. View the matrix in the output area.
  6. Use Copy Output or Export to File to save the result.
  7. Click Clear All to reset everything.

Example:

Input:

Logic will get you from A to B.

Output (Fill by Row, 3 columns x 2 rows):

Logic will get
you from A
