What Decrease a Number can do:

The tool reads each line of input, tries to convert it into a number, then subtracts your chosen amount. If the line isn’t numeric, it stays unchanged. This makes it safe for partial or mixed input.

It works with decimal values and can process large lists via file import. A counter shows how many lines were handled, and the output flashes on every update.

Example:

Input:

7
42
908

Settings: Decrease by: 5, Trim whitespace: ON

Output:

2
37
903

Common Use Cases:

Perfect for adjusting numeric data in reports, simplifying test values, offsetting metrics, or transforming datasets without formulas. Whether you’re teaching, coding, or analyzing data, this tool makes subtraction fast and flexible.
