Percent to Decimal Calculator

The Percent to Decimal Calculator makes converting between percentages and decimals as easy as typing a few numbers. Whether you’re prepping math worksheets, analyzing data, or learning how to shift the decimal point, this tool gives you fast, accurate conversions with clean output and optional formatting.

You can convert from percent to decimal (like 75% → 0.75) or reverse it (like 0.6 → 60%). Toggle on rounding, trim extra zeros, or show the original input alongside the result.

Options
Trim trailing zeros
Round to 4 digits
Show original %

How to Use:

Enter one value per line in the Input Percents box. By default, the calculator is set to Percent → Decimal mode.

You can adjust your output using the toggles under Options:

  • Trim trailing zeros – removes .000 endings (e.g., 0.750000 → 0.75)
  • Round to 4 digits – keeps decimals clean (e.g., 0.666666 → 0.6667)
  • Show original % – includes the source value in the output (e.g., 75% = 0.75)

You can also switch to Decimal → Percent mode using the radio buttons below. This flips the logic to turn inputs like 0.25 into 25%.

Output updates live as you type and flashes each time it refreshes. Click Copy to grab everything.

What Percent to Decimal Calculator can do:

This tool handles both forward and reverse conversions between percentages and decimals. It’s great for:

  • Teachers converting test scores to decimals
  • Students learning percent math
  • Data formatting in spreadsheets
  • Sales reports or growth rate comparisons

The mode switcher makes it two tools in one, and the optional toggles give you full control over formatting whether you’re pasting the result into a document, a formula, or just double-checking math.

Example:

If you input:

75%
50%
12.5%
100%

With “Round to 4 digits” and “Show original %” toggled on, you’ll get:

75% = 0.750000
50% = 0.500000
12.5% = 0.125000
100% = 1.000000

If you also enable “Trim trailing zeros”, the result becomes cleaner:

75% = 0.75
50% = 0.5
12.5% = 0.125
100% = 1

Switch to Decimal → Percent mode, and input:

0.75
0.5
0.125
1

With both rounding and trimming on, the output becomes:

0.75 = 75%
0.5 = 50%
0.125 = 12.5%
1 = 100%

This tool gives you precise control over formatting perfect for financial conversions, UI design, or any situation where percentages and decimals need to swap cleanly.
